Iggy Azalea is a hip-hop recording artist, song writer and signed model. Originality from Australia She moved to Miami at the age of 16 with the 'American dream'. Which was to get rich and famous. However Iggy also had a burning desire to make music; hip-hop is her passion.

Iggy was born in Mullumbimby, New South Wales Australia and moved to Miami in the U.S just before turning 16, to pursue her music career. She told her parents she was going "on a holiday" with a friend but eventually decided to stay. She says:"I was drawn to America because I felt like an outsider in my own country, I was in love with hip-hop, and America is the birthplace of that, so I figured the closer I was to the music, the happier I'd be. I was right."
Her birth name is Amethyst however she came about her stage name because she wears a necklace with her dogs name "Iggy" inscribed on it.
Career
In 2011, Iggy started uploading her own freestyle videos that eventually went viral on YouTube. Perez Hilton discovered and posted her first music video "Pu$$y". However her single my world is what really got her noticed because of its imminence popularity online. She is currently waiting to release her first debut album, "The New Classic." For those of you who don't 'know' Iggy Azalea you may have heard her debut singles for the new debut album- Work and Bounce. as they are currently in the charts.
